This 100% authentic and unrepaired fossil Extinct Mako shark tooth was sourced from the deserts of Peru in the 1980's or 1990's and has been locked up in a private collection ever since.  Here land collectors with shovels and picks dug through the fossil rich matrix to expose these amazing fossils. This famous collecting area is now arid desert but was a rich marine environment during the Miocene and Pliocene. Teeth from this site are highly prized as there is no new find coming out and the only teeth available on the market come from very old collections.
