Moroccan Fossil Shark Teeth

Carcharias hopei
Extinct Sand Shark
Early Eocene-Paleocene
Approximately 50-60 Million Years Old
Overall common but probably the most uncommon of the Moroccan Sand Sharks. There tends to be little agreement as to the ident of this species - C. hopei and C. robusta are the most common names. Since they are fairly common, the teeth I'm offering are only the biggest and best - all being over 1 1/8" and in perfect condition.

Extinct Mackerel Shark Teeth.
Cretolamna appendiculata
Extinct Mackerel Shark
Early Eocene-Paleocene
Approximately 50-60 Million Years Old
Somewhat uncommon and very interesting teeth from Morocco. This is probably the shark that evolved into Otodus obliquus (and eventually the mighty megalodon) for those into tracing lineages. Cream colored teeth average 1"-1 1/8" and are in perfect condition.

Cretolamna biauriculata maroccana
Extinct Mackerel Shark
Late Cretaceous
Approximately 70 Million Years Old
Not terribly uncommon but difficult to find due to the fact that they come from a different area in Morocco than the more prevalent Eocene teeth. These are highly interesting and fairly large teeth that average 1", are in perfect condition, and have terrific colors.

Isurolamna inflata
Extinct Mackerel Shark
Early Eocene-Paleocene
Approximately 50-60 Million Years Old
Uncommon small teeth from Morocco. Usually quite tough to find, these are mostly the lateral teeth (some anteriors available also). Teeth average 1/2" and are perfect (or VERY near).

Otodus obliquus
Extinct Mackerel Shark
Early Eocene
Approximately 50-55 Million Years Old
Beautiful cream colored teeth from the phosphate pits in the Atlas Mountains, Morocco. Teeth average approximately 2 1/2" and are all top quality, very attractive teeth. These teeth will have NO REPAIR which separates them from 95% of these on the market that sell for the same price or more. The "Great Grandfather" of the megalodon!

Extinct Pygmy White Shark
Palaeocarcharodon orientalis
Extinct Pygmy White Shark
Paleocene
Approximately 60 Million Years Old
Uncommon and extremely interesting teeth from Morocco. These are from a dead-end lineage that branched off from Cretolamna in the early Paleocene and evolved extremely coarse serrations. Teeth range from about 1" up to 2" (max size, only found this large in Morocco) and prices vary on condition and repair (if any). Please enquire about availability.

$10-$50+ each (depending on size and condition)

Please inquire about specific availability.
