Finally a very comprehensive shark tooth identification book that covers over 85 species and covers them correctly. I found very few mistakes of any kind in this book when it comes to ID, nicknames, ages, localities, etc.. Each identified species shows accompanying photos (several of each species showing different positions usually) and is written in plain English so it can be easily understood by amateurs. Plus it's small size will enable it to be well-utilized in the field unlike most ID books.

This book will not waste your time with much writing - it is direct and to the point with GREAT photographs to clearly show various fossils. Very thorough and covers just about everything you’re likely to find. It's surprising that not many people out there have heard about this book because it is a MUST HAVE for Pleistocene collectors.

Riker Mounts are very attractive glass display cases made from black chipboard. The small one is perfect for displaying small or thin fossils (smaller shark teeth, etc.). The large one is extra deep (2") and can frame even the largest shark tooth, horse tooth, etc. These are very hard to find in this size. These are the same frames included with the purchase of a megalodon tooth.
